Anorexia Nervosa (AN)

Anorexia nervosa is a serious eating disorder characterised by restrictive eating, intense fear of weight gain, and distorted body image in children and adolescents. It can have severe physical and psychological consequences, including growth delays, cardiovascular problems, and comorbid mental health issues. Intervention with a multidisciplinary approach, including medical monitoring, nutritional rehabilitation, and psychological therapy, can assist recovery.
